Joseph Walter Haden III is a cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League. Haden came into the NFL after attending the University of Florida. In college, Haden earned Unanimous All-American Honors as well as a BCS and SEC championship. Haden would be drafted 7th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. Haden has already earned a pair of Pro Bowl nods during his time in the league.
Rocking the Orange Custom Lamborghini
When you are a millionaire superstar athlete, you tend to find fun ways to spend your money. While Joe Haden may not be a household name everywhere, he has certainly established himself as one of the most exciting cornerbacks in the NFL. Thanks to his high level of play, Haden recently signed a $32 million dollar contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Haden is probably pretty thankful for that contract, as he has a $1.1 million customized Lamborghini Aventador to maintain!
For Joe Haden, rocking a nice car is part and parcel of being in the public spotlight. While many athletes blow their money on truly luxurious vehicles, Haden might have set the new standard. Haden purchased a 2014 Lamborghini Aventador stock for around $400,000. After owning the car for several years, Haden decided to bring it back to the shop to experience a major makeover. Let’s walk you through one of the most prized possessions in Haden’s fleet of luxury automobiles.
Pop open the hood of the Lamborghini Aventador and you’ll find a V12 6.5L premium unleaded engine. The vehicle’s stock engine generates a healthy 700hp or 720hp if you opt for the Anniversario version of the car. Thanks to the uber-powerful engine beneath the hood, Haden can take his vehicle from zero to sixty in just under three seconds. The top speed of the Lamborghini Aventador is an impressive 217 MPH, though we have to imagine that an NFL player wouldn’t want to push their lock on the road. As one of the more powerful luxury sports cars on the market, Haden’s orange Lamborghini Aventador is still able to get a healthy 11/18 fuel economy split. Thanks to the vaunted cylinder deactivation feature, Haden’s car actually gets better-than-average mileage.
Inside of the glorious orange 2014 Lamborghini Aventador that Haden proudly drives, you’ll find a host of luxurious and comforting features. Inside of the car, most people will be swept away by the comfortable Italian leather and brightly lit LCD displays. Of course, the Lamborghini Aventador also features the traditional climate control and infotainment media system. The car also features bucket seats that are sculpted in order to be supportive, though we doubt you want to get too comfortable while driving such an impressive vehicle.
Looking over the body of Haden’s car, you’ll be hard-pressed to find much to fault. That is to say, so long as you can stand the Cleveland Brown’s-style color scheme, this might be the Lambo of your dreams. The sleek body of the car helps the Aventador maintain a low profile while on the road. The taillight features sharp LEDs while the center exhaust roars to life with every tap of the pedal. It is hard to mistake Haden’s car for anything but a Lamborghini product.
The Rest of the Fleet
When Joe Haden isn’t draping star wide receivers in coverage on Sunday, he is probably spending time with one of his many different vehicles. Defensive backs like Joe Haden have always had a reputation for being flashy, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone to see the Steelers corner filling his garage with luxurious high-end cars. At the time of this writing, Haden has a multi-million dollar fleet of cars with his Lamborghini Aventador representing just a small section of his offerings.
If you ever find yourself hanging with Joe Haden, and why wouldn’t you, make sure you stop by to look over the beautiful cars he has. In case that opportunity never arises, we can highlight a few of those cars for you.
Leading the way for Joe’s fleet of cars is his 2017 Rolls Royce Wraith. Starting at around $320,000, the Rolls Royce Wraith certainly isn’t a bad backup car! Alongside his Rolls Royce, Haden has another Lamborghini Aventador, this time a white 2017 model with a sleek finish. If Haden stays with the Steelers, do you think he’ll add a black and yellow Aventador to his lineup?
If Rolls Royce and Lamborghini Aventadors do no tickle your passion for cars, you’ll probably enjoy checking out his newest vehicle, the 2017 Rolls-Royce Ghost. One of our favorite cars in his fleet, the Rolls-Royce Ghost has plenty to offer. With 563hp and 575lbs of torque at 1,500 RPMs, it’s hard to deny just how impressive this little luxury car is. With an MRSP north of $300,000, the Ghost is definitely a high-end vehicle for drivers who are serious about their time on the road. Well, unless you are Joe Haden. If you are Haden, your Ghost is just another set of wheels parked in the garage.
