“We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead.” Beyonce is just that. She simply is. As the Queen of Pop Music, Beyonce has established herself as one of the most famous and talented musicians on the face of the earth. Originally a member of the all-girl R&B group Destiny’s Child, Beyonce has found untold success in her career as a solo artist.

After getting her start in the music world back in 1997, Beyonce has gone on to become a media mogul as well as one of the best-selling artists of all time. Combined with her work as a member of Destiny’s Child, Beyonce has sold more than 160 million records around the world. Beyonce has also made Billboard history for debuting six solo albums at the #1 spot on the charts. Yeah, you could say that she is kind of talented.

Meet Queen B

Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on September 4, 1981, in Houston, TX. Beyonce was born to Celestine and Matthew Knowles. During her childhood, Beyonce’s mother worked as a hairdresser at the salon that she owned while her father, Matthew, worked as a sales manager for Xerox. Beyonce’s name was chosen in memory of Celestine’s maiden name, Beyonce.

Beyonce’s sprint toward stardom began at a young age. When she was just eight-years-old, Beyonce would team up with two other children to form an all-girl music group called Girl’s Tyme. The other girls in the group were LaTavia Roberson and Kelly Rowland. The trio would be signed to Grass Roots Entertainment where they would release their debut album. Shortly thereafter, the trio would be signed by Columbia Records where they would rebrand as Destiny’s Child.

From 1997 until 2002, Beyonce performed as a member of Destiny’s Child.  During that time, Destiny’s Child would release five records including their 2004 album, Destiny Fulfilled which marked the ending of their time together. The group briefly reunited to perform during Beyonce’s headlining performance during Coachella in April 2018. Known for their soaring vocal harmonies and riveting live shows, Destiny’s Child would go on to leave quite the impression on their fans.  Destiny’s Child has since been remembered as pioneers for the R&B genre with many other artists following in their footsteps.

After separating from Destiny’s Child, Beyonce refused to skip a beat. Instead, Beyonce dove directly into her solo career. She would release her first single as a solo artist in collaboration with Jay-Z. The song was titled ’03 Bonnie & Clyde’ and it would peak at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Beyonce would release her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love, in June 2003. Since its initial release, Dangerously in Love has sold more than 11 million records around the globe. Beyonce has since released six studio albums with Lemonade (2016) being her most recent arrival.

As a solo artist, Beyonce would establish herself as one of the most powerful singers in the entire industry. She has already sold more than 115 million records around the world and her career only seems to be getting started. Outside of music, Beyonce spends much of her time with her husband, Jay-Z, and their three children. Beyonce has also cultivated herself into a vocal supporter of social justice and equality as well as a giving philanthropist.  Beyonce also has her own fashion lines, branded activewear, and she has recently partnered with Adidas to release a custom shoe. She also has several other business ventures with her husband including their music streaming service, Tidal.

Beyonce has also dabbled in other forms of entertainment. As an actress, Beyonce has been nominated for a pair of Golden Globes as well as four Primetime Emmies. Some of Beyonce’s most celebrated work can be found in films like The Lion King (2019), Homecoming: A Film By Beyonce (2019), and Dreamgirls (2006).

Beyonce Has a Need For Speed

If talking about Beyonce’s epic music career didn’t blow your mind, just wait until you find out the kind of cars that she drives. Thanks to her marriage with Jay-Z, her enthusiasm for classy automobiles was not lost on her partner. Jay-Z and Beyonce have cultivated one of the most impressive car collections in Hollywood, of that we are positive. Taking a stroll through their garage might lead you to drop your jaw, so do hold onto it as you keep on reading.

Let’s start by highlighting Beyonce’s favorite car, her Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II. This beautiful vehicle is owned by Beyonce but it was gifted to her by Jay-Z for her birthday. Talk about one heck of a birthday present! This gorgeous classic car is worth a cool million dollars, though we’re sure that Beyonce’s ownership of the vehicle will tack on a couple of bucks. According to Hagerty, only 2,700 of these vehicles remain in the world.

When Beyonce doesn’t feel like taking an old-school drive, she opts for modern firepower. Beyonce owns a Mercedes-Benz SLR Mclaren which features some serious power underneath the hood. The SLR Mclaren can go 0 to 60 in just 3.6 seconds thanks to its 617 HP V8 engine. As one of the fastest cars ever developed by Mercedes, Beyonce definitely can satisfy her need for speed with this bad boy.

Let’s round out Beyonce’s fascinating car collection with something a little more traditional. When Beyonce wants to drive around with the family, she turns her attention to the Chrysler Pacifica. This safe family vehicle has great mileage, comfortable seating, and a family entertainment center for the kids in the back. When Beyonce and Jay-Z want to take a low-key trip around town, you can bet that they grab the keys to their Pacifica!
