“Forget the car. Audi is more.” Advertised as the perfect car to give you more quality time with your family and friends, the Audi A8 is a four-door, full size, luxury sedan that was first introduced in 1994. Praised as the first mass-market car with an all-aluminum frame, the Audi A8 has evolved over the last two decades with its current model offering the most modern technology including touch screens, self-driving, and self-parking as well as all-wheel drive and V6 or V8 engines.

Base models are priced at $82,500 with the average cost of a new A8 at $86,815. After the first year, Edmunds reports that the A8 will decline in value by 24.2%, which brings the car’s value down to $65,805. Even with the depreciation, the car is still incredibly valuable but the true cost to own is fairly high at $101,657 over five years. Today, you can find pre-owned Audi A8s reasonably priced—considering the 2018 sticker price—for around $30,000 depending on mileage and condition.
